PROCRASTINATION AND HATE

THE HATE
The reason for hating anything is always personal .I am forced to do many such things which I hate . I hate Architectural design and I hate its implementation more than anything else on earth . I hate when I have a submission .I hate when the requeim for a degree forces me to work hard to produce drawings .

But as I said you hate it or not. you have the Hobson's choice to do it. Work which has to be done should be done and finished with all power and might.Lets assume that you do it because you have to do it .

Lets talk about what happens to the task .

Procrastination .
This one word describes the fate of the task.All uninteresting tasks/projects are delayed till the last moment . Delayed for tomorrow .delayed for the next suitable occassion (which is never before the eleventh hour) .

Suppose the whole world asks you to complete the boring task in hand much before the final deadline.Be assured that you won't do it .You will beleive that there will be a tomorrow .You will fantasize that the world may end , client may scrap the project .Its also probable that may be everything will go hayware .BUT most importantly yoy may not have to do the job .

But beleive me none of the above will happen and you will have to do the job (blame your luck or god or the planets ) and the situation remains as it was : the job has to be done

I am also waiting for the eleventh hour to put my acts together and do something about the design project .The sheets are lying on top of my desk for last 120 hours andurging me to do something abt them.Not surprisingly. I have not drawn a single line .

Happy procrastinating ............................................

P.S. If you have come so far I may have bored you by repetition but believe me I am more bored than you at this point of time

Stupidity in the name of Religion

• Karachi hit by terror attack, four killed: US diplomat among dead, 54 injured.
• 3 die in Lucknow clashes
• Two die in riots against Danish cartoon in hyderabad
• Karachi explosion welcomes Bush

Browsing through the paper I got struck in such news .The reason for all the
deaths were hilarious .
I simply can't believe it :Anti Bush demonstartions & Danish cartoon controversy can somebody justify the deaths to me ?

Voilence in any form is not justified . More the case in a democracy where peers kill each other in a protest against someone residing miles away from the site of action .When whoever you kill would hardly have any impact on the decision of Bush ?.Are these people mad or they simply don't understand logic.

The important aspect of such reactions where :

MEDIA REACTION
The news brings to light the hypocrity of Indian media .All the major reports just stated the facts.One does not finds any reaction or condemnation of this goosy act .In the name of secularism we have come to a position where nobody writes anything on religious issues so that it wont hurt the sentiments ..sentiments of whom ? murderers .
Same happened to Indian army religious count & census report on religious growth.Simply asking religion seems as beign communalism.where is the country headed when the fourth pillar feels itself threatened and fears using the "freedom of speech" guaranteed by the constitution .

THE LOGIC of such actions.if any
I fully understand the concern of people who people who are against US capitalism and actions.There is atleast some logic in blaming USA.But how does a war in Iraq affects Indians who are having difficulty to make two ends meet.

I know a communist will talk about "the greater brotherhood".But one must understand that all foreign policies are governed by national interests.Will Iran/iraq or ne other go on such lengths to fulfill Indian ambitions. We dont want to go back to gory days of foreign relation suicide when there wasnot any bigger picture in 1960-1995.Nehru played a major role in Non aligned movement.Things are different now . there is only one superpower and India must try to extract maximum cooperation out of them if it wishes to be a superpower herself.US can help India reach there.

Even if I fail to convince the fanatics .But can in any way justify initiating a riots against a person hundred miles away.

WTC was although a better way !
In a way WTC was an attack on a foreign soil but how can one justify attacks in Karachi .90% the major attacks of religious fundamentalism was on their own soil .When the fanatics feel it is attacking the foreigner but it is in turn attacking its own brethren.torchuring its own land.

THE SOLUTION
Incorporating logic in the religion! Enlightment from within

If your belief is based upon reasons,you will support it by arguments and will abandon it if the argument goes against you But If your belief is based on faith ,you will realise argument is useless and will resort to force either in form of persecution or distorting the young minds by "education " - Bertrand Russel

No religion is perfect .Old testament contains many sermons which are anything but nonsense .Christianity has changed for the better Western ideals which we look upto has not evolved in a single day.Why there could not be logic imbibed in the religions of subcontinent.Why madarsas exists ? why caste system exists ? why we have politics in the name of religion which guarantees rational hibernation and suppressing the view of the liberal

There are many such questions in my mind demanding answers .hope i get those in my life time

The Wing That was !

Wanted

Four gone ...four to go

These 4 people who are missing from the corridors of RP-BFE are wanted .Come next year there will be another four missing from the wing

Sitting in my room in the dead of night I suddenly realise there is some
thing missing .How am I doing my work without any disturbance ? Why
there is no one else in my room chatting with me ?

The whole memory rewinds back to one year back during the spring .There were 4 ppl with a job and ample time .It was not a planned wing and all were here just by chance. We hardly knew each other .Somehow the chemistry started to work among us and we started to have a good time together doing nothing. There was There was this "to disturb everyone" air always around and unnecessary squabbles just to show the intensity of voice


The shouts of sarraff and the interesting pranks of Ghosh and tall claims
of Munna and an enterprising Manoj .I still remember the leadership of
Ghosh for the scheming to irritate Manoj and the laugh together after
listening to Manoj's hilarious reactions.

The endless debates without any conclusion unless one kills the other
.The monk Jha who was encouraged by the entertaining Saraff.The
Mondays are not the same when we waited for Deepak to bring his
goodies from home. I still remember the irritating trailers brought by
Ghosh. I also have a faint memory of a typewrter that lived besides me
and a family man whose only ambition in life was to have 100 kids(oops
chickens) and a wife. I remember all the little details which could fill
pages after pages.

I know time moves on & priorities changes and we may not like each other as we used to do at one point of time. I may not react the same way when I meet them at some point of time .But one thing is for sure the corridors will never remain the same.

P.S. I strongly believe KGP should scrap 5 yr courses where the last year ends retrieving the lost memories and seeing a major chunk of your batch out of insti

NEXT STOP NOIDA

Although the direction of my future life was clear on 4th Jan2006 but the learning process depends on the ambience in which one lives

STRETCH UR LIMITS BE A REBEL

When was the last time you did something which you have never done before? When you ventured into a territory u have never been before .When you stretched your limits?

THE CONFLICT

Every man consists of two man. One is a Rebel who wants to do new things roam around the world searching for new people new land and new goals.The other prefers the world as it is and is very happy to follow the daily routine

An adventurous traveler roams in an unknown and exciting world. He goes to places which has only surprises to offer. He is the hero of innumerable stories. On the other hand we have a routine systematic traveller who will detail down to amount to be spent for an ice cream You can find such people checking in a previously booked hotel with all the luggage you can ever imagine you may need for a lifetime. Beaming with happiness because they have come to enjoy themselves.It is not true that they enjoy less

For example: There are also two such thoughts inside me .One would be very excited to be in a job making new friends and working for new challenges .Other would long for the peaceful life during my graduation to continue endlessly.

Let’s come to the title which motivated me to write this piece.

There is an inertia inside all of us which wants things to remain the same .It believes that I am going in the right path and would never try to change itself .But the world has done great things just because of some Galileo who did not allowed the mass mediocrity to defeat the individual brilliance. Every great inventor created a path of its own .He/she was a rebel in a true sense.

The other thing we do without realizing : Stretch your limits

Suppose you run 2.2 KM daily Will u stick to 2.2 after say one month .Or you would force yourself to cover 2.3 the next time Everybody will choose the latter without thinking much .We all move on in life do things which we have never done before
